@_natemorris is the kind of friend and human who will literally walk back down a mountain just so you don’t have to finish the hike up alone. He is always bringing others along with him in life. He is kind, thoughtful, hard working, relentless, a seeker of justice, quick witted and almost always laughs at my jokes. Nate, I’m humbled and honored to call you friend, so much so I went all the way back to 2014 to find this picture. Here’s to this year being the best year yet! Happy happy birthday.
Tomorrow I get to see my students and tell them their collaborative artwork was displayed in a real art gallery for the evening. They may not always believe me, and that’s ok, but these 25 children truly are leaders who are changing the world for good. And it’s my honor to be just a small part of their big stories and dreams.
